try south island bearings. They import an Italian brand.

Cheers
I've dealt with low range off road, marlin crawler, and trail gear in the past, looking to anything local for a start

I bought a set last year... I PMd a bunch of vendors on pirate that had a post about having toyota R&Ps on special - ended up with a much better deal than any site was advertising.

I only got one trip out of my Yukon gear, although it may not have been the R & P's fault that they blew too bits.

The only one I didn't kill in the Prado was the Yukon one.

Hi,
Just because you order YUKON does not mean you will get YUKON manufactured gears. I ordered 2 sets from a sub supplier, turned up with Yukon boxes and instructions, but one set was RICHMOND and the other was NITRO, customer wanted Yukon so I ordered the same from Randy's (Yukon Dealer), when they arrived. I inspected them, no Yukon markings on them, but I could see were the original manufactures markings had been polished off, the makings that were visible were very similar to the Richmond and Nitro ones that I already had.
When I questioned Randy's on this they sent the following reply.
"One thing you have to understand is that WE are Yukon Gear and Axle, not just the parts. In some cases, we have multiple manufacturers lined up to make specific ratios, especially if they are popular and hard to keep in stock in numerable quantities. In a few of those cases, they stamp their own marking on the gear sets and we would rather not divulge who is making some of our products. However, the Yukon difference and advantage is that they are made for us, to OUR engineering designs, specs, metallurgy, hardening techniques, and quality control, of which we have invested millions to ensure that the end customer is receiving the absolute highest quality product available. So in short, just because it doesn’t have a “YG” stamped on it, doesn’t mean you didn’t get what you paid for. "

So I guess it can be a bit of a lottery what you actually get.

Must say Randy's where helpful and quick delivery.

Cheers
Tim
