looking for a replacement automatic gearbox for a friends truck.
its a 1993 toyota prado KZJ78. will use anything available.

prefered in christchurch.

He is keen to keep it auto for now. but if we cant get a replacement it might be the only option.

if it is the same as the auto box on a 1kz surf i have one sitting in the garage looking for a new home. According to toyodiy it has the same part number. You can have it for $150 with the torque converter. It was mint before i pulled it out. I just wanted a manual.

Its not, you can swap bits, but the back end and shifting are different

Argg, great price too. would have been so keen. ill see if i can find out whats involved to use it.
