Looking at buying a surf.
What's the main difference between 2.4L and 3.0L diesel surf?
Anything I should look carefully when buying one?

Re: Buying surf
main and only difference is the motor. take 1 of each for a drive and you'll soon see. both engines had issues with heads so look for 1 with head work done.
personally the red inside would make me bath after a night on the drinks

that red interior is plain scary!
Re: Buying surf
a few years ago i brought a LN130 (GREY INTERIOR VERSION) with a perfectly good motor, sold the motor for just less than i paid for the vehicle and dropped a 2JZGE supra motor into it, surfs are suprisingly stable at 200kph, who would have thought........
Re: Buying surf
As mentioned the heads are main issues with those engines. You can get a super reliable 2.8 surf for around the same price as the 2.4 you're looking at, that would be my first pick.
good luck
good luck
