its so common to use chains in america its not funny. especially in the mud. rocks they seem to use ropes a bit more.

Well its definately ripped, shit, and busted now
Yup certainly some manner of digging to make it easier to unstick. If possible a winch thru a snatch block on a tree or something closer to infront of the truck to pull forwards rather than sideways. I think I probably wouldve gone with 2 or 3 trucks linked to get more traction and a less aggressive pull, rather than 1 truck yankin' the hell out of it (no pun intended )
