Driverdoor Window Electrics Issue
Hi, I have a 1995 Toyota surf 3l Diesel. Recently the electrics on the driver door stopped working so I couldn't control any of the windows and I couldn't wind the windows up or down from any of the other buttons on the other doors. Some mentioned wiggling the wire going from the driver door to the body, which I did and amaziingly it worked...for a while. Now it has completed stopped working. The mirror control is the only button that still works. Can anyone tell me how I can remove the wire to see if there is a broken cable?

Re: Driverdoor Window Electrics Issue
real common fault and you are lucky as the surfs are one of the easiest vehicles to get the door wiring loom out
Take off the door trim and unclip the loom then take the kick panel off by the accelerator pedal and unplug the loom plugs and pull it out. I cant remember which way is easier but the rubber bit between the door and body stays with the loom
Don't just join the wire were it broke but put a new piece in so the joins are either side of the rubber bit so there are no joins in the flex area as they wont last very long
