Can anyone help, i'm wanting to know if a LN106 body will mount straight on to a LN65 chassis or what the differences are between the two.
cheers
Hilux body mounting
i've got a good 65, but picked up a insurance write off 106, to get the 106 back on the road will cost about 4k, where i wanted to have it on a legal chassis, the 106 chassis tag shows the water damaged write off and required to go thru a strip down and check of all internal components and the chassis goes thru the same process...shit how stupid is that.???..lol..my 65 has seen more water than the 106 as im sure a lot of trucks on this site have..
cheers.
cheers.
If you've got to get the vehicle re-complied then you may as well part it out... you'll set a budget to get it back on the road, the the LTSA will kindly double it for you with incredibly stupid little things... you ESPECIALLY will be very very very unlikely to get it even part way through compliance if you've put a non-standard chassis under it...
Can't even get vehicles complied with long-travel shocks in them... no matter the condition of them... seen so many Ranchos thrown away at compliance time its not funny... actually... no, its not funny... really

Re: Hilux body mounting
it's been a long time since i've been on here, but for those that may have had the chassis thin going on with ltsa and body swapping, the LTSA deem the chassis to be the body not the body itself! so you can have any hilux body on a chassis but you have to swap the body tag over to the new body to suit the chassis so as the two match. there is another way also but i wont put that on here!!
