Maintenance Mission

Post by guttix »

Been on the go for the last couple of days doing some work to the 110. Had a few perished hoses that needed replacing, A Frame ball-joint was knackered, thermostat was shot (always open), and did the cam belt.
Turned into a bit of a mission doing the cam belt...turns out my 300tdi hasn't has the crank pulley changed over (early 300tdi's should have all had this done). Mine was the old setup...with the lip on the tensioner, rather than the pulley. Thankfully http://landroverspares.co.nz came to the rescue, and sent overnight the new seals/crank pulley...cheers Rex

timing cover, fan etc out...

the offending part...should really have been done years ago, the 110 had full service history up til 130,000kms...so it should have been picked up

new thermostat...maybe the heater will function better now...

A Frame balljoint...mongrel to get the new joint in, had to whip into a mechanics and use a press

nice new hoses

finally back together, oils changed, filters changed...and cleaned out the rear diesel water trap/sedimentor...what a mess inside that
