Removing powdercoating

Anybody got any tips on how best to remove the powder-coating from a bullbar? I've tried using a basic sanding disc, but it makes a mess of the disc very quickly & is taking forever.
If at first you don't succeed .... Get a bigger hammer!!

sandblast, powercoat is usually a epoxy coating which sticks like the proverbial!!! or paint stripper, not sure which one though

Try a heat gun powder coat goes soft with heat so you might be able to heat it up and then scrap it off
