Went for a drive to see the latest eruption at Tongariro and went for a cruize around in the sun as well

Went exploring and found the opportunity for a quite drive round the lake edge. Gotta get myself a trout rod and camp out there for a weekend!!!
As the weather was so good we decided to do the trek across to one of the nearby rivers and head up stream for more exploring. Good weather and awesome views on the way in!!
Arrived at the river to find the conditions perfect for picking our way up:

Despite the hot sunny weather during the day, it was bloody freezing at night!!!
Awesome weekend, went out for a walk with the rifle on saturday evening, saw nothing but found a whole new area up the river to try and get the trucks into to explore.
Also did our good deed for the weekend and transported a hunter and his partner a few k's down the river on Sunday morning back to their truck after he broke his ankle earlier that morning.
