Electric winch 12v to 24v

I've got a 12v Superwinch that I want to convert to 24v, do I just need a 24v motor and solenoid? Are there any bigger motor available like the ones 4wdbits sell? what is the advantage of putting a bigger motor on?

Alot of the Aussies run the 12v motors on the 24v trucks...(Comp trucks)
Runs faster You could just use it till the motor burns out and then look for a 24v replacement... Or am I being rough bastard....
