Advice wanted on chopping gen1 pajero body to a ute.

Had a quick search on this but couldnt find anything.
I want to chop the the back off my swb pajero to make into a ute seen a few pics on the net and im liking the look.

would this need a cert just for chopping and welding cappings on fabbing the rear part of the roof to just behind the B piller?

also does anyone know of anyone that would or has done a sas swap to a pajero with hilux front end they would recomend to use in the wellington hutt area?
