A turbo would get it moving along nicely, don't want to sound harsh but learning how to use the search function will get you most of the answers you need.

nicely set up truck, other than its size, not much wrong with it.
they take awhile to get the hang of,
best part about them you don't have to put bits of other trucks on them to make them better nissan built them tough

Hey Matt,
Could you flick me some photos of the air setup off the aircon pump please. I'm looking to convert mine too.
Cheers.

Someone told me the hi-roof Y60s were the result of the Middle East market requesting more headroom for their turbans. Makes sense since the ME is the worlds biggest buyer of them.
Its slow and will always be slow, mechanically it is a 30 seater bus, its a heavy duty cross country vehicle designed for carrying troops around hostile terrain.
I say dont worry about what the Mrs says, change the fluids and starting taking it off road, you're unlikely to do any damage.

I'm feeling your pain! My SWB has been sat in the drive since I hydraulicked it at the start of December and the Mrs says I have to sell it. My argument is that I've always wanted one and it's gonna get much harder and more expensive to find a tidy one. Just placate her with "yes dear" every time she mentions it and in the mean time just go out and enjoy it
