newbie in chch

Names Alex I have a 87 ln61 hilux surf manual ifs only mod is bigger 31x10.5 tyres , anyone know any suitable tracks in Christchurch have been to the waimak a lot and need something new

Try the Ashley River from Rangiora up on the north bank. Nigel PS Join a club for more access and trips.

Cheers , there's also a dried up track off the amberly river few big ruts which leads to a very nice schecluded beach deap shingle though my truck with the standard wheels made it thru in 1st gear 4wd on boost

plenty places to play in Canterbury most rivers have tracks

Its just finding them I live on the south side of waimak not very far but not many 4wd tracks just shingle roads , them bloody trucks and diggers keep ruining the good crossing points

your not far from me then im just over the north side of river. depends what sort of tracks your after waimak normally has plenty of mud if you star at 4wd area and head up stream then can always go south erye witch runs into waimak its a dry river but can quite often find water if you go far enough up

did Ashley river last weekend was good trip went Rangiora right up to gorge.

waipara river is another trip have yet to do it tho.

there is plenty tracks around to suit most people and vehicles i drive a terrano with only a snorkel and 31 muds and still have platy of fun

yea abit of rain wouldn't hurt going to try find some mud at waimak on Saturday but last time was there was dry as
