160-MQ PTO install

G'day
Trying to install the PTO drive in a MQ patrol to the side of a 5 speed g/box and have encountered a problem , there's a considerable gap between the PTO unit and gearbox ( about 4-5mm) when gears are meshed

Just wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem and what they did
Also read in the net that there are two types of PTOs in the MQ / MK range is that true??
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I would love to help you there but can't say I ever has that issue with the pto drives when I had my old mq
