New member.Nelson.Series 2a Land rover.Transpant options?

Have a 1969 series 2a. Got it from partners grand father before he passed. He'd modified it excessively ( in my opinion ). 5sp mitsi gear box, 2.5ltr carb v6 out of a mark 4 Zephr or Zodiac. Sadly I've just found its blown a head gasket. Not sure its worth repairing? Plus I hate the gear box. Can anyone suggest an easy / viable transplant???? Has been suggested TDi 200. Enne mounts are unmodified. Any advice great fully accepted!!! Shevy
