need help with a auto gearbox not 4x4

Hi Guys i just fitted a F4A22 auto to daughters 4G63 1989 Gallant and it wont kick down or go into OD i'm Unsure of what the original box was but the car is New Zealand assembled is there anyone near Levin that works on auto gear box's that can help me out

Havin taken 2 auto'z apart.. c ould be 2 things,

Kickdown cable.. not adjusted..? or switch not pluged in
Same for OD.. there will be a plug either broken wire or not pluged in..
Could be these things..
