engine options

Post by 2roky »

giday i just bourght a 87 surf thats got a f@#ked motor its running on 3 the guy i got it off thinks that its a blown head gasket but i think it could be a rooted piston or bore cause he was offroading with out a air filter so he sucked a lot of shite straight into the motor i was wondering what types of motors are out there that would fit straight in at a low cost. i'm going to be running 33's or bigger and cert isn't a problem as its not going on the road. any ideas would be great.

I payed $100 for a doner supra, bellhousings will cost bout $300. you can get a 7m auto bellhousing and get an adapter for $150. you can use the standard engine mounts sometimes but your engine will sit on a funny angle.

Ya might want to look into a solid axle swap at the same time. IFS Surf diffs, 33"+ tyres & more hp are not a group that play well together :D

If it breaks, build it stronger.
If it doesn't break, drive it harder.
