vg30e nissan terrano urgent help

hey has any one tried to take the vg30e nissan terrano engine without having to drop the auto trans first if so what was your trick with flexi plate, if not will i have to drop the auto trans to get the engine out.

Should be the same as most other removals with auto trans. get through access point or through hole left when starter motor removed to the torque converter bolts and undo them. you'l need to drop front diff out to make room for engine to come forward out of the transmission. Make sure the converter stays with the transmission.
