Cam's SJ 410

Post by Cambo »

Well I picked this up a couple of weeks ago

After the obligatory doughnuts in the paddock (to test the 4k motor & 5 speed out of course) it has been water blasted and put in the shed. Had a low hanging tow bar that has now been removed.

Trimmed the chassis back to the end of the spring mounts, and have welded in some 100X50, the plan is to mount the small winch that was on the front back here along with another battery. My 9500lb will go up front on a new bar.

Have also ripped the doors seats etc out as plan on sealing/painting it after fixing the rust in the guards/foot well. Had a measure up at the local wreckers and have decided to stitch some flares out of pajero guards in for a bit of a different look.

Have some nice steelies coming that I plan to run 31x10.5s on.
Will leave the 4k in for now. After finishing the panels etc plans at this stage are for a exo cage, snorkel, water proof the electrics, suspension lift, etc.

Any thoughts suggestions are more than welcome as I know some of you guys have done some awesome stuff with these little beasts.

Looks like a good start. There is some nice stuff being built on this site. And the Internet is your friend. You will no doubt find all sorts of cool ideas and inspiration. All you gotta do now is get building!

Are you trying to keep it road legal?
There's gotta be some rocks round here SOMEWHERE!
