Transfer case drop bracket ???

Can anyone tell me what is the point of a transfer case drop bracket ?

I got one with my FTS lift kit but never installed the bracket when we put the suspension in. Seems to run fine so far 8 months later..

It got me thinking whats the use for it ? An will i be slowly wreaking any drive train with out it in.

same as the diff drop brackets bro, lower the drive gear which reduces the angle.....and inturn....wear and tear
