Blaster media for cleaning carbs

Post by Heath »

What recommendations are there for media type for cleaning up some carbs I have laying around (6 Quadrajets) before I rebuild them?

Something like soda I'm guessing but where can I get 10kgs of the stuff (or garnet or grit) in Chch

I vaguely remember a thread on this a while ago, so tried searching but the search function is down.

Google is dead  :(

Anyone know how to do the replating of the carbs? Might just have to pay to get them redone.

Although I might have a go at electroplating the smaller steel bits (if I can figure out how and if its cheap enough).

Might have to do a clean up few jobs for others to get some $$$ back for the toys. :?
