Evergreen tire opinions

Post by fish »

Any one had any experience with Evergreens?
I just put some 80r14 on the back of my hilux.
They were so cheap it made me wonder about the quality. .

Running them on a little runabout car. seem fine, maybe harder compound as it likes to slide in the wet now under hard braking.

As above you definitely notice the handling difference from a quality branded tyre, but they are wearing well

flag that squirmy shit tires should not be tolerated,
I value my mates and family enough to give them absolute arseholes when they make comments like that ^.
If they are one of the things that keep you on the road or out of the car in fronts arse why cheap out.
I would feel like a right dick if I hurt/killed a stranger because I cheaped out on tires and plowed into them or spun infront of them.

its not because im "cheaping out" they are a light truck tire. i frequently load a tone on my ute as its set up to do so being a work truck .so the fact that they are rated to 900kg each was the sell point. ive have gone from a 215 to a 185 and they just have a smaller foot print, i think that explains the new drive feel.
after a week on them im used to it and they are solid, certainly a lot more stable than the mud terrains most of us get about on  in saying that i wouldnt put a set on my everyday driver purely for that that i would put run all terrains.
cheers!

have to say I was well wrong on these tyres ,
I discovered a friend of mine works for the importer and he pointed out they were running them on the shop s2000 without being skittish,
couldn't find any odd wear and they were stretched with a bit of camber

and cheap 5 x 245 45 18 for $670 fitted is stupid cheap the last set were $2000 fitted
