ive got a problem with my truck im parting out
blows abit off white smoke
have completely drain the fuel from the tank
put fresh stuff in since its been sitting for 2 years
still smoking, running on 4cylinders now tho

want to know how far down the little gauze filter is
screw driver goes down about 5cms

Yup that would be about right. You might have more luck removing it by "fishing" with a hooked tool or making a hook end on a piece of wire . There should be a spring which you would have removed first?
