Had my full licence for quite a few years now, I thought my understanding of the road rules was reasonable..but 5/10!! I'm guessing thats an instant fail...

Re: Test: Ten hardest road code questions
6/10
from this I can determine that I shouldn't be driving at night while carrying a load on the roof with rear flat tyres or have a restricted licence

Re: Test: Ten hardest road code questions
When driving at night on a road with lanes you must be able to stop in half the length of clear road you can see in front of you - true or false?
for any senario you must be able to stop in half the clear distance in front of you. regardless of conditions or road.

i'll admit i had to look that up.
the catch is "lanes".
on a road with lanes, you must be able to stop in the length of clear road you can see in front of you
on a road with no lanes, you must be able to stop in half the length of clear road you can see in front of you.
Re: Test: Ten hardest road code questions
5/10. Half of them are dopey questions totally irrelevant to 98% of drivers!

Re: Test: Ten hardest road code questions
9/10 got the rear tyre blow out wrong
all the rest are really std road rules apart from the tyre blow out questions as i reckon that with these supper low profile tyres around now a days that a blow out probably would not effect them as much as say one of our 4bys running 35s on 15s with a 6inch lift just to add excitement

Re: Test: Ten hardest road code questions
7/10 and I claim 1 bonus since those restricted rules didn't exist the last time I looked at a Road Code. (Which is a piss poor excuse since it's driver responsibility to keep up to date)
Re: Test: Ten hardest road code questions

Re: Test: Ten hardest road code questions
6/10.
If any tyre blows out you are probably f^cked should be an option.
Extra stopping distance cant be bad within reason?
Stopping at a rail crossing must be better than slowing? Trains never swerve, rude buggers.
Interesting answers. I cant see anyone getting a ticket for driving with caution at night or stopping at a crossing so how do the rules get used?

Re: Test: Ten hardest road code questions
10/10 and its been almost 30 years since I got my license, though as my wife will point out in that time I have written off two cars and a motorcycle, only the first accident wasn't my fault
