Gudday
ive just joined up after getting my first ever 4x4. Ive got a '95 Daihatsu Rugger which seems to have been pretty well looked after but still has plenty of scratches.
Not really got much experience with this scene, spent most of my time in commodores over the past however many years.
Keen to have a go off road, hoping to get into Woodhill in the coming weekends with another mate and his suzuki to show me the ropes. Dont have a lot of $ but interested in a few small mods and tidy ups along the way. Any tips much appreciated
thanks
Browny

Re: New member and first 4x4
G'day. I've got one of these too. Mine's a tin top swb. Yours looks in better shape. Really tough little wagons but not too comfy to travel in. I drove mine from Kerikeri to New Plymouth a few months ago and ouch! I recommend you take the intake manifold off and clean it, then block the egr (assuming it's a diesel?) Mine had so much tar-like crap in it that the boost signal line to the fuel pump was completely blocked.
Anyway, welcome and have fun. The Daihatsu page is a bit quiet on this forum so nice to see another one.

How hard can it be?
