Mitsubishi front click
Re: Mitsubishi front click
i have a click when turning hard on the left front of my mitzi, it sounds to me like the steering arm or some thing.
Re: Mitsubishi front click
Both of these sound like cv's on the way out to me, my vx made the same noise turning then it broke. the first comment is it in a straight line noise or turning also?

In a straight line
Re: Mitsubishi front click
Mine was doing that. Turned out to be a broken roller bearing on the inside of the hub. Have to take the hub right off to get to it.
Re: Mitsubishi front click
I'd agree with front wheel bearings as I have has two go now.
Water seems to be able to get up the inside along the CV shaft and through the free wheel hub into the bearings.

Re: Mitsubishi front click
Front diff outer axle bearings are prone to fail.
Also if tyres are different (brand, size, wear or pressure) drive can bind up in a straight line, possibly causing cv noise on a sick cv joint.
cheers

Just when I thought it was safe now have loud banging sound drivers front under load I think I have killed the cv or blown a lockin hub balls
