does anyone know what the road condition is like around there since the washouts, has it been fixed, or able to be driven now?

went for a nosy at Labour weekend
you can drive all the way to the locked gate if you like
although the washouts are getting very close to the track at the really high points and the 100m wide slip has had vehicles over it and compacted it, but you have to drop down to the beach at the south end of the 100m slip and pop back up onto the track as the track has gone at that point.
Its not something I would want to be doing without at least 1 other vehicle and unless you have the key to get through the gate then you are risking falling off the hill for the sake of 300m that you can easily walk and look at
p.s. whilst I was there walking the slip in the rain, there were rocks falling down around us
