access onto murawai

Post by launcht »

Is there a easy/good way to get onto the beach without going main way there in murawai past the golf course, like a way further down save me driving all the way down the beach

Also when I the best time to get onto the beach with the tides, is it shortly after high tideas it will beheading out to low tide or more closer to low tide?

cheers for any info

There are only two other current options and one is Rimmers Rd, the other Wilson Rd. Both can be occasionally tricky to exit off the beach.

Using the time either side of a low tide is best, remembering that not all tides are equal heights and onshore winds can push a tide in faster than normal. The speed limit is 60kph over the whole beach.
