help with banging surf

Post by truckingood »

couple days ago was up the farm chasing some cows round when I heard a quite loud bang and felt a binding come from the front end of my wagon(kzn130). check out the cv's and found they were not in the best order so out they came and some brand spanky ones replaced them. how ever after finishing the job after work today shot out into the paddock whacked the hubs in to see how it felt and f@#k me that binding is still there. so it dose it worst when your turning can hardly feel it when going straight. when turning ether going ford or back you can feel it bind up then bang what ever it is lets go, any one got any ideas cause im lost thanks luke

does it now matter? at least it wasn't the rear and you can still drive it normally in 2wd.

I suggest not engaging 4wd and get the broken diff out before it binds up completely and cracks the diff housing.

yeah it'll be sweet as with manual's on it
my 89 ssr-x was the same.

sounds more like the spider gears have gone to lunch as apposed to the crown and pinion. but with bit's floating around in there it wont take long to wreck the C&P too.

Auto Disconnect Diff. toyota's version of auto locking hubs. they don't come with locking hubs as standard.
you have had hubs fitted so that makes it real easy then :)

Go the Lokka's.

I did club champs to day in my LN106 single cab hilux, lokka's front and rear, low 1st zeroed everything, speed sections weren't so good as my turning circle isn't the greatest and leaf springs are not for going quickly over rough ground.
