Wtd safari or cruiser

Hi there everybody,

I recently come off road express and have found it to be a very useful website, and was wondering if anybody could help me out? I am looking for either a safari or cruiser late 80's to early 90's. Not too concerned on whether its had mods or not, or if it is a swb or lwb. Would like it to be a diesel, manual with not too many k's if thats possible (250-300 thousand would be ok). Not too long ago i owned a '94 hilux. After an accident and lots of irritation with the insurance company (truck not being towed and was stolen from the accident site) i have finally been paid out and i am looking to replace it. I have up to about 8k to spend. I am located in Canterbury and would be willing to travel most of the south island for the right truck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if ya can stretch ya budget to 13k i have a 80 series cruiser.

Safari vrs Landcruiser best way is do take a few for a drive. For 8k you will get a reasonable Safari but may need more for a Cruiser

Thanks for the offer Jono but 8k is pretty much my max.

And that's what I was thinking suza. Will probably have a better chance of getting a safari for that price. Just thought I would see what's out there.
