How's your Japanese? Newbie question.

Post by Shrapa »

Hi everyone I seem to be somewhat lacking when it comes to reading Japanese..(the "how to" label on the glove box)

I own an HJ61 Landcruiser, runs sweet but what I need to know is:

When the transmission is engaged in 4x4, the button on the dash, when lit up. Does this mean it's in low range or high range?

Regards

Isn't the dash button H4 and the lever L4?

Playing with the buttons only will make it go into 4WD while still being in High range (normal gearing)
To get into low range (slower) you need to move the lever.
