Any car washes, that fit your lifted truck in Auckland!?

Hey guys. Random question. I'm no stranger to Washworld. But sometimes I just want to to run my truck through a carwash. I used to have a few ones around Auckland city that I knew I JUST fitted into in the Range Rover and Disco...but now with 33s and lifts and stuff....I'm finding I just never fit. I mean, the height isn't an issue...it's just the sensors sense the truck is too big and it won't work!

Any carwash ideas where you've had success with big lifted trucks? Sometimes I'm just too freaking lazy to get soaked at Washworld.

haha. cheers guys. I basically have the problem where there's one or two regular mobil type carwashes that kinda still fit me. I know there must be others out there that work. Or I could just get over it and blast the truck properly at washworld...

They also have wash in Penrose Auckland, although as set up for trucks in automatic mode may be a bit rough on stuff like bull bar horns, snorkel tops etc

Whats your truck height? Whats your lift?

My high top comes in at 1.95 meters with a 2 inch lift. Its a tight squeeze into most touchfree mobil carwashes and shell carwashes but with no roof scraps, the only rubbage is the muds.

Not keen on using a touch less washes myself (or no wash as they are known) as they have no mechanical action to clean vehicles so they use a lot harsher chemicals (separate alkaline and acids passes) to try and clean vehicle, were as friction washes (brushes) use chemicals that are virtually ph neutral.

Agreed only takes 5 hours to do my safari after a good mud run that's not even touching the interior

Or just drive into the Waikato river and wash that way, Just up stream from the Auckland Water Pipe intake (Ducks for cover )
