Might need to be taking a chainsaw with plenty of petrol for any tracks in the coast area, no doubt things have changed a lot and the chasm will be different again.

Staying in Greymouth and there is some good damage there campervan blown over as you arrive lol also south of hokitika there is about 100m of shelter belt been blown over quite impressive how powerful the wind was.
