door alingment

Post by rcumins »

I have purhcased new hinges for a for my early 110, passenger side went like a breeze, but drivers is being otherwise. Looks like it could have had an impact to the front right as guard outer is fibre glass. Something doesn't line up. does anyone know the correct dimensions for the the spacing between bulkhead and tub? Will I need to adjust the firewall or tub? Update: I have done some quick measurements and the Lh side is 880mm the whole way up & down, but where the firewall starts to curve in on the RH side it changes from 880mm to 870mm has any body got any ideas to straighten this?

Is it off at the top or bottom? If it is the bottom you could put an extra washer or two on the big bolts that secure the bulkhead. The tub I wouldn't think you could do anything about given the fixed position of the bits it is bolted to.
