auto & manual trans engine computers 1kzte?

Does anybody know how these are different.My guess is the auto would have to tell the ecu when it was in drive & park .Can you use the auto one on a manual;maybe by joining park neutral switch wires.If no;reasons why.Thanks for any help.Cheers andy. :lol:

You can hotwire an auto ecu so it will work with a manual, depending on the auto box, you could do it the other way round. Theres lots of stuff on the internet about it... I found loads when I was looking. I'll be using a manual ecu with my auto on the 2jz.
