will a g13b engine fit a j18 gear box and engine mounts

trying to get a rally car from 1800cc to 1300cc

Directly no . you can make a g13 fit a g15/6 with a bolt on kit called a lucky 13 . Basicly the two lower mounts are wider than needed . The top to mounts fit . And a g15 or g16 is the same pattern as a j18/j20 so could work for you . How you get on with the clutch is another matter . A quick google and you will see what the adapter does , easy enough to make .

When bolting a j18 to a g13 gearbox a machined flywheel is used as the j series has 8 bolt crank I think where the g's are 6 bolt (ie when a g16 is put to a g13 gearbox a g13 flywheel can be used ) .

No idea on the aplication , ie what has a j18 that you want 1300cc I would just get a g13 box out of a cultas or something .

1300 puts me in a class that better suits the HP and the j18 box i have has a custom close ratio gear set in it
