boost tap install. can it let water in deep water crossing?

Post by 44jetboat »

going through putting in a boost tap.

i see they bleed the boost off.

does this cause a issue when crossing bonnet deep water?

or because it is postive pressure (boost) do you not have to worrie about this?

or am i best to run it in the air box.

cheers

It has a one way valve so you can't suck anything in.

bleed types don't have a one way valve in them (tho the better ones do). in theory could leak water in. however its going to be a tiny amount. it might be an issue if the engines stopped and its under water.
ball and spring ones are better for diesels anyway.
