5w30 in a 93 escudo 16v

Hi
I have been recomended castrol edge 5w30 for use in my 93 escudo g16a by the oil selecter at supercheap.
seems thin to me .does anyone have any experance running this oil in these motors

Definitely sounds a bit thin, I would go a 15W-40.

just did an oil change on my g16a 8v and penrite recomended 15w-40

check the penrite site for recommendation.. I use this for roughly liters needed and viscosity

Maintenance book says for our temperature range 10w30, 10w40, 10w50, 15w40, 15w50, and 20w50 so not a lot of choice there :shock: even 5w30 if it's going down to -30C
