HEAVY SNOW WARNING - AREAS AFFECTED - Wellington

FORECAST:

Snow is expected to lower to around 300 metres this evening. From 6pm Monday to noon Tuesday 10 to 20cm of snow could accumulate above about 400 metres with lesser amounts down to about 300 metres. The heaviest snow is expected during Tuesday morning when 10cm could accumulate in 6 hours.

If you are familiar with Odlins road, the start of the track is at 460 metres, and the highest point is approx 6KM in from the carpark at 822 metres.
