KZN130 Auto Troubles

Post by Sheepy »

So I have been having an issue with the car from day 1, I knew about it when I bought it and that was one of the reasons it was cheap. The auto doesn't shift correctly.

Sometimes if your at the lights and pull off it feels as if its in 3rd, you can manually change it and it drives fine. at 100km/h, if you let off the gas the revs drop to almost idle, so the torque converter isn't locking up. It gives error code 62 which is one of the solenoids (shift solenoid NO1).

I have had the ECU repaired and the trans was flushed less than 20k ago. The solenoids cost about the same as a second hand box (about $100 more in honesty) is it worth repairing the solenoids, or replace the box? Could it be something else?

Trucks a 1994 KZN130 with 280km on it.
