Surf tailgate window probs.......

Post by dale »

Hi everyone.

I was recommended to seek guidence from the wise people from ORE..

It appears I'm another poor bugger suffering from intermitent electric window 'issues' on the tailgate of my LN61....

I have cared for the vehicle as if it were a new born baby, cherishing it with loving care and festidiously regular servicing. It has, in all fairness, returned many years of faithful service and playtime with the minimum of downtime.
New rubber, recon gear box and lower ball joints in 5 years - not what I'd call excessive!

I digress,
Some days the rear window works as if new.... and some days it dosen't seem to want to bother - with not even a click from the relay!

Today is one of the latter days (and has been for a few days now).

When working, it works well both on the key and the button - but won't work on either at the moment.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has experienced this, and even tho' you may be repeating yourself, any info would be greatfully recieved.

Either use the forum to answer direct or feel free to answer on richiemurray@gmail.com

Cheers guys

Thanks pal, much appreciated - will give it a look tonight.

I take it they are a replaceble item or do they need recon.?
Also, anything more relaible available or worth considering as a replacement?
