Bought my first 4x4

Post by liam14 »

Hey guys.

I bought my first 4x4 about 3 months ago and I think a few people will call me an idiot for buying what I did.
Which is a 1992 Mazda Proceed 2.6L Petrol gas guzzler. But I really do enjoy it. It's heaps of fun. Minus the fact that modifying it is proving to be slightly difficult because it isn't a very common 4x4 but that just adds to the fun of it. Have done a few trips so here's a few photos.

The radiator tends to fill with mud , causing overheating problems due to its low mounting and size to cool the 2.6

+1 for lockers, but I'd be removing those side steps and fitting some protective barwork. Finished that winchbar yet...??

Ball joint flip, trimmed bump stops, diff drop, front auto locker, shimmed rear LSD.

Most cost effective mods for any ifs truck. Oh and simex :-)

another thing I found with it , sometimes the power goes to the rear axle, and little drive to the front , pulling on the hand brake put the drive to the front axle ,
