1kz blocks are they all the same?

Hey guys
my trusty hilux has thrown a leg out of bed, its a 2003 long valve, is the block the same as the eary one?
is one type beter than the other?
aside from head an pistons are there any other differences?
Im looking at a full rebuild so nows the time to choose

also running a manual fuel pump cheers

Blocks are the same.
Price a new short block from Toyota. You might be surprised in the price compared to a rebuilt block. ;)
