2T in your diesel fuel

Post by oldncreaky »

I filled up monday and was reminded by the noisy injector that more 2T was needed,I've been adding air cooled 2stroke oil to the fuel for about 8 months after reading various

pros and cons. This was prompted by a discussion on the effects of low sulphur fuel having low lubricating properties most affecting older diesels, and two stroke oil as an

additive to offset it.I use .5%,or 1/2 a litre in 100lt of fuel, definately quiets the injectors and pump and seems to reduce exhaust smoke.[ the following cars are closer now

when I'm climbing hills] Hope this info is helpful,

Cheers,ONC

Few people on here have been doing it for a while now. Works quite well in my patrol. Few threads about it on the aussie forums too.
