WTB 1HD-FT inlet manifold adaptor for intercooler

hi i am about to install a water to air intercooler on my cruiser and i am after a intake flange looking similar to this

i also have a couple questions about two parts which are on the current air pipe from turbo to intake and what to know what they are for. this one is on the intake side and goes to the thermostat and somewhere else, is it important, or does it not matter if i remove it,

and this last photo looks to be some sort of ground wire on the same pipe but on the exhaust side,
