Fairly new to modifying 4wds have started on my lwb safari
Have put what was ment to be 2" lift springs in my lwb high roof td42 auto safari but only lifted one inch so I then added 2" spring spacers havnt touched shockies as they werent maxed out also havnt touched sway bar set up at all. Have fitted 35/12.50/15 762 bighorns on factory 15/7 safari rims (not ideal but have made do) have fitted a new auto trans as trans was slipping when I bought truck. Have done all brake pads and front rotors truck has done 270xxx ks. Am very happy with how it performs only issues iv had have been with hubs but after a lot of mucking around and trial and error I ended up converting factory auto manual hubs to manual only. After buying a shit pair of avm hubs that were fucked when I bought. Am now running one avm hub and one factory. Eye sore but works fine. Only real issue now is power. Am looking at turbo kits and am interested in people's thoughts on turboing td42. Truck has good lsd rear and open front have thought about lock rite in front but don't want to compromise turning performance in mud snow etc. Also interested in thoughts/suggestions on my odd ball suspension set up. Has not bad flex for what it is. Only shit thing is can't really go any higher as truck only just fits in garage now and dont want it left out as these are targeted by theives and wife thinks it will de value our property being outside. Am loving the safari and how well it goes. General thoughts and suggestions or tips appreciated. Cheers Jono

with that much lift your shocks may not be at full extension at rest, but they will likely max out before your springs reach full droop. unbolt one end of a shock and flex it and see if it flexes more.

Yea im thinking they are restricting it just low on my priority list. Moneys tight this my quiet time of year as a agricultural contractor. Still unsure where ill go from here with suspension so will leave as is until I decide. Am thinking 4" efs lift kit from 4wdbits

I have 2inch spring lift, cut guards and 40mm body lift and fit 35 silverstones no problems.
Spring lifts above 2inch generally its accepted you need drop boxes. aka more cost, work and potential steering problems.
Plus it literally lifts all your weight (less diffs) higher, ie higher center of gravity, of course looks good if you like that, but 4 inch lift doesn't really add to your off road capability(diff clearance versus chassis clearance is the bigger factor). you really want to get good articulation on what ever lift you have, a good set of matching springs and shocks will be the key.
