1HD-FTE Exhaust and Chip?

Thinking of just doing 3 inch exhaust and possibly a chip later on. Need some advice.

3 inch exhaust, will it be better to custom make one from an exhaust shop or just buy a bolt on kit?
Asked around and it seems that custom job is about $1200-$1500 + GST. (Only sharp corners and mendrel bent, minor bends are pressure bent)
TradeMe has a couple of bolt on kits which are cheaper but not sure what the quality is like..

Diesel chips. What kind of brands should I look at and what should I avoid?
Anyone in Auckland who is known for diesel tuning that I can talk to?
I'm wishing to let the turbo kick in at a lower RPM. It seems that the truck really comes into life after 2.2k RPM. My old 1KZ I can feel the boost kick in at around 1.6k RPM. Can diesel chip achieve this?

just slapped a coby 3"zaust kit on my 80 series cruiser, its made ok and was only 900 so pretty good value

as for chip, dunno
