Late model Chev V8 meets meticulously built FJ62 Landcruiser

Post by LT1-62 »

Hi Guys
Selling my baby!

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... d=84537038

Also see my write up on this site...

http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules ... hlight=lt1

Mods since the write up include $1500 worth of upholstery work including super comfy, custom fitted, removable dual foam layer mattress for the rear, and high quality, custom green canvas canopy fo the TJM safai rack.
I spent my Christmas touring the Coromandel and Northland, living outa the truck and sleeping a lot better than my friends in tents.

Truck is currently in Waihi Beach. Phone 027 421 8077 to view.

Hi Pete
I moved to Aucks last year and havent had a garage or parking space for it (on street parking only where I live). It therefore lives in my dads garage 2 hrs drive away in Waihi Beach, and thus other than a few big trips I havent been able to drive it often enough to justify keeping it. Its painful as hell, but until I move on from Auckland or buy/rent a house where I can park a bigger truck I'll have to settle for being a passenger on 4wd trips.

I swapped it for another V8 4wd :D

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... d=87290033

Decided this would be easier to sell than the cruiser.

I swapped with a mate from school, he is gonna use it as a surf/mountain machine, he lives in nat park during the winter so should see some regular use.

Hey,

I saw your truck on the Peninsula over Xmas & it caught my eye at the time. Very nicely done. Serious truck while also being pretty subtle, if 35" tyres can be, if you know what I mean! Great colour choice too. No bling, which is nice!

Sounds like your buddy is set for this winter at the mountain! I'll keep my eye out when down that way.

Where did you buy your TJM rack from? A NZ distributor, or direct from Aus?

Also loved the Q&A with the neanderthal on your TradeMe auction!!

Cheers

Hi Bruce
Thanks for the comments re the truck, I spent christmas/NY tripping around the coromandel sleeping out of the back. Comfier and more versatile than a tent.

The rack I got off (you guessed it) TM, paid about $280 IIRC. It was a steal since its specifically for a low-roof FJ62 so fits like a glove.

Yeah, that guy on TM is a dickhead, makes the comment that a stock Audi is poor taste compared to a Soarer, then loses it when I burn him on the auction. I was having great fun taking the piss outa him and couldve kept going all day long but doesnt make you look too good as a seller. Matt

I can't believe you've ditched it... and I hate to say it, but I think you've made a mistake swapping it for the Audi, although its a sexy car...

:(

I understand the reasons tho... Its not really an Aucklandmobile...
