Offlimits Ice Buster 30-31 July

Post by Clint »

4wd weekend on the army training area at Waiouru 30-31 July: http://www.offlimits.co.nz/event/ice-buster/

Entries have now opened, I just signed up. It's a few $$$ but having really enjoyed a few motorbike rides in the training area I'm keen to take the 4wd out there as well. This tour is for non shiny trucks, numbers are limited to 30 vehicles, so hopefully there'll be some interesting tracks included.

Cheers

I'd be keen for this, but things get expensive with the price of $365 or $260 (depending on accommodation and meal options) add to that the cost of fuel and other bits (broken parts etc).

It'll be a good bit of fun, but in my eyes, not for that sort of money for a weekend away just for one person. Passengers are extra on top of that.

Yep, $300+ just for the drive if you take a mate or the missus is pretty damn steep. I don't think I'll be lining up for it every year. The $105 extra each for accommodation & meals is reasonable enough though.

Shame I gave away my drysuit when I gave up diving , that would be the ticket in an open truck ☺.

Cool, I'm looking forward to seeing that 80 series in the metal. Price can't have been too steep for many as it's nearly booked out last I heard. Hopefully we can get in a group of similarly capable vehicles.

In preparation I've been cleaning out several years worth of leaves & debris from the cab air intake to make damn sure the heater will be working 100% :D

Cheers
