Red Rocks closed

Tried to go around last night to see how the earthquake and rain had affected the track to find the gate closed. Any leads as to when it will reopen?

Passing this on:

Information has just been received from Wellington City Council advising that the 4wd track to Red Rocks and beyond has been closed.
Stability of the cliff face just beyond the first set of baches is of concern. Although a contractor has been engaged it is likely to be some days before a start can be made.
The CCVC coastal clean-up scheduled for this Saturday has been cancelled.
